More Information

This is one of our house shapes, and a new Twinzer version of the Frenzy.

The FRENZY started off as an earlier version of the board called the Fiend X. With the Fiend X, I wanted to make some modifications so that it was a little bit more “poppy” for airs and had a touch more “shortboard” performance in it. So, I deepened the concave on the back half of the board, ran the double concave through the fins a little deeper, and added a touch more rocker. This adds more curve throughout, gives more lift in the tail area, and puts the vee just behind the back fin.

The board went great and was well received, but the dimensions were a little narrow for a performance fish. With the rocker/concaves nailed, I wanted to now make a version of the board that was a little more “fishy” and still hang on to all the performance.

We ended up with the FRENZY, a shorter, wider, and thicker performance fish. Wide point center to maintain that shortboard feel, rather than the wide point forward that most fish boards have in their outline. Nice little wing behind the front twin fronts, which helps pull in the tail and creates a “break” in the outline, giving bite and pivot.

Easy to catch waves with a medium/low nose rocker into a medium/low curvy tail rocker, with a single concave into a double by the fins and a little vee out the tail.

Magic rocker and concaves in a performance “fishy” package. You get the wider glide, cheat, and lift, but it still has that performance DNA.
