Please describe below what it is you are wanting more of out of your current fin/board experience (example - more drive, tighter turns, more release....etc) or any other questions you might have about fins or fin systems. Thank You I would like more drive with speed but also good control with the surfboard. I was thinking of getting size Large fins, or even dual fins that fit a longboard? Please let me know what are the best options for me, thank you!. Fin Guru Response: So looks like your kind of a light person on a bigger surfboard. That puts you up on top of the water more. Which makes it harder to use your rail for projection. So your instinct might be right in wanting to try size Large fin. The JJF alpha is perfect for your weight, but in relation to the size of your board....maybe not ideal. The cheapest easiest way to find out is to try the thermotech F8. But, now that im thinking about it Futures also makes the AM2 (large) in thermotech. That would have more drive for sure! If you wanted to do full upgrade you could do the AM2 Alpha. I think the AM2 is better than the F8 because it has a bigger template for the front fins but a smaller template for the center fin which should help with a good combination of drive and pivot.
