ABOUT BARRETT MILLER
The town I’m from is Capistrano Beach, CA, I started shaping at 14 and I’m 22 now.
My mentors in the shaping room is Joel Tudor, Timmy Patterson, Rich Pavel, Ryan Burch, Wayne Rich, and Hank Byzak.
My biggest inspirations in the shaping/surf world is Donald Takayama, Skip Frye, and Dick Brewer. I’ve been lucky enough to shape in the same facility amongst many other legends under Laminations San Diego (L.S.D.)
Shaping Joel Tudor Surfboards, THC surfboards and my own personal label.
My love and passion for board design came from the fact that good equipment wasn’t available. The boards I was after were not being produced or very little supply.
