The California Mid is another addition to the Shift Legacy Series by Shaper Simon Kile. Simon has a long history as a shaper and board builder. Everything from shaping boards for the likes of Kelly Slater and Dane Reynolds during his time at Channel Islands to currently shaping Boards at The Guild as well as his own label. Seemed only fitting for Simon to shape the California Mid-length for Shift.
The California Mid has a Modern Retro outline with the wide spot a little forward of center. The bottom has a little roll up front on the entry into a small double inside a slight concave and then transitions into a flat panel Vee out the tail.The medium nose and the tail rocker coupled with the bottom contours gives you that effortless glide but still has a the ability to carve modern mid-length lines.
