Tri-Quad

The Five Fin box set-up is the ultimate. It allows you to either ride a board as a Thruster or ride it as a Quad. Typically Thrusters give you more control and are good for beach breaks and in peaky conditions where you need to fit in a lot of tight turns. On the other hand, Quads can work great on point breaks, barrels, and on waves with more of a horizontal approach where you can use the extra speed and glide for your turns that the quad supplies. Either way it is great to have the two options depending on the type of waves you are gonna ride!
