This is designed off an old archived model called the "Slinger" we started making about 11 years ago!
Slinger was a small wave shortboard that had a bit wider nose and mid section but pulled in quickly with a noticeable "bump" in the outline that finished off with a small narrow swallow tail.
The board was a fast small wave board and kept control in better or slightly bigger waves.
With the love of the twin fin back in a big way, this model was the perfect baseline to make a performance driven twinny.
We modernized it and added a wing in place of the previous bump, dropped it further back towards the tail to match up with the pivot point and placement of the twin fin set up. This straightened the outline in the back half of the board which works well with twins and adds that wider surface area at the fins for excellent speed. The wing breaks right behind the fins and abruptly narrows the tail with lower rails which both add up to more control which is needed with faster boards.
What you get is a very fast, razor sharp twin with confidence off the bottom like a thruster but have all that free'd up spark a twin provides.
