More Information

Below Information from C. Shapes:

The TRIX model is a shortboard designed & developed with teamer Alex "Al" Casal. Pronounced /kəˈsal/. Al wanted a board like the Sizzle Stick 2, but with a squash tail. He also remembered having fun on his old Grenade model so this is something somewhere in between. The latest refinement for 2024 is the addition of the Bump-Squash more reminiscent of the Grenade model. This has been Al's go-to board for most Florida wave conditions and has had positive feedback from other customers.

About the Shaper C. Shapes:

My name is Carlos Reyes, but most everyone calls me "C". I was born on March 3rd,1975. Don't really care to celebrate my B-Day. It's not a big deal for me. My family is from Colombia originally which makes me Hispanic/american. I went to college and have a graphics degree so adapting to 3D Design and CNC shaping came easy. I served as the "Local Shaper" in Miami for 20 years from 2003-2023. People always ask how many boards I've made and the number is over 3000 including the 10 years as a hand shaper which was over 500 hand shapes. Now at age 50, I've accumulated over 31 years experience working on surfboards including: glassing, paint, and sanding along with many technical repairs and resin installations. I can work with both Polyester and Epoxy resins, and being an artist since childhood I'm also been able to add color and graphics unto boards in a variety of different ways. Due to the increasing cost of rent and lack of rental space I've had to relocate to central Florida where I now work the craft in my garage and my latest shaping bay is in a shed. Being a small-time local shaper and making only a handful of boards this compact setup is just right for me. One thing I've always maintained over the years is a humble spirit and affordable prices. I enjoy working on surfboards and the essence of making them is having fun both in and out of the water.
