More Information
The 107 has earned a reputation as one of the most impressive small-wave designs to come out of JS. Originally marked with the production code 107, this model was tested extensively by JS staff, team riders, and a few select locals before becoming a favorite among them. The original prototype even went missing for over a year before being rediscovered—by which point it had already achieved near-legendary status for its performance in smaller surf.
The 107 features a slightly wider nose and a straighter hip through the tail, creating a fast and responsive outline. A deep single concave runs beneath the chest for added lift and drive, transitioning into a deeper double concave between the fins, and finishing with a subtle rolled vee out the tail to smooth rail-to-rail transitions and prevent catching. The overall design focuses on generating speed effortlessly, maintaining flow through turns, and making wave entry a breeze.
A refined hip squash tail allows for sharper, more controlled turns in the pocket, and the standard five-fin setup gives the rider flexibility to choose between thruster or quad configurations. The 107 is a versatile, performance-driven small-wave board that deserves a place in any quiver.
